A German appliances, electrical, and electronics manufacturing company aimed to create a wall-mounted smart home control and entertainment center with a rich, intuitive user experience. The device needed to combine everyday applications such as email, web browsing, scheduling, and monitoring with advanced smart home control capabilities. Seamless integration with a wide range of network protocols (KNX, ZigBee, Z-Wave and others) was required to manage sensors and actuators from different vendors reliably. This vision demanded a robust, scalable software platform spanning embedded devices, cloud services, and web/mobile applications.

How Did We Solve It?

Yamasoft delivered a full-stack smart home platform powering a wall-mounted touch-screen control and entertainment center with multiple smart applications. The solution integrated home automation features over the different network protocols (KNX, ZigBee, Z-Wave and others), enabling centralized control of sensors, actuators, cameras, and door entry systems. A complete software stack was developed for the device itself, complemented by cloud services as well as web and mobile applications. This end-to-end approach ensured a scalable, reliable, and seamless smart home experience aligned with the manufacturer’s product strategy.
