What Was The Challenge?
A German global IT services and digital transformation company was designing an open home automation platform covering energy management, security, and comfort use cases. The platform needed to support multiple smart home protocols—including Z-Wave, ZigBee, HomeMatic, DECT, and WiFi—while remaining flexible, scalable, and future-proof. Key architectural decisions had to be made around gateway design, cloud connectivity, and mobile and web access. The customer required expert guidance to align technical choices with business goals, ecosystem openness, and long-term innovation potential.
How Did We Solve It?
Yamasoft provided technical and business consulting based on deep expertise in smart home protocols, cloud platforms, and connected applications. Working closely with the customer, we advised on the overall system architecture, protocol integration strategy, and the design of a centralized home gateway connected to cloud services and accessed via web and mobile applications. Our consulting also covered the integration of additional AI-powered services to enhance automation, intelligence, and user experience. As a result, the customer gained a validated architectural blueprint and a clear implementation roadmap, enabling confident delivery of a robust, open home automation platform.
